This privately developed school in India was designed to provide teaching facilities for 900 students from kindergarten to year 12 and to provide a residential component for 400 boarders.

 

The school proposed to have a strong sporting curriculum and a gym, tennis courts, netball courts and swimming pool.

 

All planning had to take the strict orientation principals of Vaastu into account as well as the strong climatic need for cross ventilation to all rooms and corridors. The design incorporates many semi enclosed verandahs with “breeze blocks” and sun shaded windows.
